BePark was founded in 2011 and brings owners who want to optimise their car park management into contact with users in search of a parking space, given the increasing difficulty of finding street parking! BePark offers secure cargo bike parking on public roads and elsewhere.

Brussels Economy and Employment is the government department of the Brussels Capital Region that is responsible for the development of sustainable economy and employment in the Brussels Capital Region. The services it provides are mainly focused on businesses and employers. Brussels Economy and Employment provides grants to encourage professionals to use cargo bikes.

Brussels Environment is the government department of the Brussels Capital Region that is responsible for environmental affairs. Its tasks include measuring air quality and designing sustainable mobility policies, including the low emission zone, the gradual phasing out of combustion engines, company transport plans and making the government fleet more environmentally friendly. Brussels Environment is also responsible for the network of air quality meters and the inventories of emissions of substances that pollute the air, on which it reports to the European Commission each year.

Cambio provides shared cars and acts as a catalyst for change to a better, more sustainable and quieter city life. Car sharing creates more space and contributes to better-quality surroundings for everyone. This service offers an alternative to your own car or second car, alongside walking, cycling or taking the train, tram or bus. Through sharing, Cambio ensures more mobility with fewer cars. 

The Brussels parking agency “parking.brussels” has the motto “park better for better mobility”. It aims to align and simplify parking rules across the entire Brussels Region, in partnership with the 19 municipalities, with a view to improving mobility. Parking.brussels provides secure parking for cargo bikes on public roads and elsewhere.

Since 1992, Pro Velo has provided professional support for individuals, government bodies and companies by means of customised services and solutions. Pro Velo supports current and potential cyclists, gives cycling lessons, conveys a positive image and supports cycling policy. In this way, Pro Velo contributes to a better quality of life.

This initiative emerged from the desire of a group of friends who were studying urban planning and environmental planning to encourage active mobility in Brussels. Remorquable provides bicycle trailers for registered members to borrow, based on the principles of the sharing economy.

The Urbike cooperative has its roots in the social economy and is recognised by the National Council for Cooperation. urbike aims to speed up changes in urban logistics with a modal shift from vans and light goods vehicles to bicycles. To make this shift happen, urbike chooses to develop practical projects and work towards solutions with a quantifiable impact. urbike can rely on an extensive network of experts, partners and stakeholders in the field, with diverse and complementary backgrounds.

The mobility, logistics and automotive technology research centre is based at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). The Mobilise researchers study the motivations for mobility choices in individuals and various groups in society by examining travel behaviour. The multidisciplinary team of more than 90 specialists tackle the challenges facing the transport value chain from a technical, economic, social, ecological and political perspective. VUB Mobilise is conducting a socio-economic study of the Cairgo Bike project.
